La abertura del fermentador debe tener al menos 1,13 pulgadas (28,6 mm) para que el ladrón de vino quepa dentro.
Desinfecte completamente el ladrón de vino antes de tomar una muestra para evitar la contaminación.
Desinfecte completamente el hidrómetro si se utiliza y si la muestra se va a agregar nuevamente al líquido de fermentación.
